Police Search For Missing Woman In Union County
Veneita Johnson, 49 of Hillside, was last seen on April 15 at around 4:45 a.m.

HILLSIDE, NJ — Authorities are searching for Veneita Johnson, 49 of Hillside, who was last seen on April 15 at around 4:45 a.m.
Johnson is described as a black female, heavyset, with short hair. She has a black mole under her left eye, said Hillside Police.
Johnson was last seen wearing a black US Army ROTC jacket, a white shirt with the letters "SNOOP", pink pants and brown shoes.

Johnson is mute and deaf. According to family members, she suffers from dementia and is no longer using sign language, said police.
She frequently wanders off and is unable to find her way home. In the past, Johnson has been seen wandering the streets of Elizabeth and Plainfield, said police.
