Health In Motion Wellness Center Of Westfield And Local Artist Team Up, Raise Money For Breast Cancer

Health in Motion Wellness Center of Westfield and Westfield artist, mas designs by Maxine Schwartz have teamed up with Play for P.I.N.K. and Susan G. Komen for the Cure North Jersey to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Health in Motion will be holding their annual HIM Charity Day this Sunday October 26th from 12:30pm-4:00pm. Schwartz’s pink string bracelets will be available for purchase for $25 at Health in Motion, located at 524 Westfield Avenue in Westfield, during the event. 15% of sales are donated to Play for P.I.N.K.

The day kicks off with 2 free events:

12:30pm-1:00pm Strap & Roll with Megan Drown, a mix of foam rolling, strap stretches and restorative yoga poses!

1:15pm-1:45pm Qigong with Ian McNally of Magui Bagua NJ, effective in reducing stress, thereby enhancing the immune system and preventing illness. This is a low impact practice and suitable for all!

2:30pm-4:00pm Jane DoCampo will host her latest workshop, “Perfecting Your Posture”. Stand up straight! This is yoga for postural improvement! Good posture is essential for good health. Poor posture leads to abnormal wearing of joints, degenerative arthritis, pain and muscle strain. This workshop will inform and guide you out of your habitual patterns of compression to lengthen and strengthen your postural muscles so that you can feel, look and perform better! There is a $30 registration fee for this workshop, $5 of which will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure North Jersey.
