learn Meditation on April 4 at 7:00 pm and listen to 7 published poets on Saturday, April 14 at 2:00 pm. Westfield Memorial Library
(March 26, 2018) – On Wednesday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m., the Westfield Memorial Library will present “Meditation: An Antidote for Stress,” and on Saturday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m., there will be a poetry reading by seven poets published in Tiferet Journal. The library is located at 550 East Broad Street.
Meditation will be presented by Jim Rose, a retired Johnson & Johnson executive. In this session participants will explore the healing power of meditation and learn how to create peace in their life in spite of the stress around them.
“The stresses and tensions of life do not just affect our mind,” wrote Mr. Rose about his program. “This simple technique can be practiced daily for health, serenity and joy. Meditation helps us to physically relax and it puts us in a state where we feel more peaceful. The problems of the world no longer have the same effect on us.”
