Learn About Westfield's BOE Proposed Bond

Information session to be held Thursday, Jan. 14 about the school bond referendum up for vote

Westfield, NJ -- The Westfield Board of Education will host its second public meeting about the school bond referendum that will go up for vote on Jan. 26.

There are two proposals in the bond; one which addresses important safety, security, and technology renovations in the Westfield Public Schools, and the second reflecting needed upgrades to intermediate school auditoriums. A total of 40 percent of the costs of all the projects will be funded by the State, if the bond is approved.

This meeting will be held Thursday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. at Roosevelt Intermediate School Auditorium, 301 Clark Street. It will be hosted by schools’ PTOs.

  • Tuesday, Jan. 19, 7:30 p.m. – Board of Education building, 302 Elm Street, Room 105 (Board of Education meeting will include discussion of bond)
  • Thursday, Jan. 21, 10:15 a.m. – Board of Education building, 302 Elm Street, Room 105 (This meeting will be hosted by the Parent Teacher Council and the schools’ PTOs).
