Man Arrested For Violently Shouting, Blocking Traffic In Westfield: PD

Westfield Police released its blotter for the incidents over the past week.

WESTFIELD, NJ — A Westfield man was arrested after police say he was screaming in the road and blocking traffic.

On April 13 at 3:41 a.m., Westfield Central Dispatch received a 911 call about Jake Olbrys, 32, Westfield,acting belligerent, loudly, and violently shouting in the roadway of Boulevard and W. South Avenue and blocking vehicular traffic in the presence of bystanders and Westfield Police Officers.

Olbrys was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway due to his intoxication, said police.

A Westfield Complaint Summons was signed against Olbrys for disorderly conduct, along with town code violations for public intoxication and disturbing the peace.

Olbrys was released to hospital staff with an upcoming municipal court date.

Other Westfield Police Blotter – April 13 to April 19:

On April 16 at 6:19 p.m.: Faraj M. Yasin, 36, Kerman, CA, was placed under arrest for DWI, possession of CDS, and drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the 400 block of Central Avenue. He was later released on a Complaint-Summons to a sober adult.

On April 17 at 10:45 p.m.: During the course of a motor vehicle stop in the 600 block of W. South Ave., Juan B. Rodriguez, 61, Elizabeth, was arrested under the strength of two active traffic warrants ($5,000 out of Elizabeth and $1,000 out of Linden) and possession of CDS, which was located during a subsequent search. He was issued RORs from the respective agencies and released on a Complaint-Summons.

On April 18 at 9:58 p.m.: Jose A. Bautistahuamani, 30, Elizabeth, was arrested during the course of a motor vehicle stop on East South Avenue under the strength of an active ACS warrant. He posted bail at WPD HQ and was released.
