Man Fatally Hit By NJ Transit Train In Union County

The train hit and fatally injured an adult male pedestrian on Tuesday night.

RAHWAY, NJ — A man was fatally hit by an NJ Transit train on Tuesday night in Rahway.

At around 7:45 p.m., Northeast Corridor train 3963 — which left Penn Station New York at 7:12 p.m., and was scheduled to arrive at Trenton at 8:36 p.m. — hit and fatally injured an adult male pedestrian at Rahway station, said NJ Transit Spokesman John Chartier.

No injuries were reported to the 450 customers and crew on board the train.

Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coastline service was temporarily suspended but has since resumed.
