Meet Westfield Candidates Running For Board Of Education
The Westfield Parent Teacher Council is hosting a Candidate's Night on Oct. 18. The public can submit questions to be asked by Oct. 15.

WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield Parent Teacher Council (PTC) is hosting a Candidate’s Night on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Westfield High School auditorium.
Lynne Benner, Simon Cirasa, Kent Diamond, Anthony Marotta and incumbent Peggy Oster, who are seeking election to three Board of Education positions, will be present at the event.
The evening will be moderated by a member of the League of Women Voters and candidates will be asked a variety of questions which will be gathered from the public prior to that evening.

Questions may be submitted to ptc@westfieldnjk12.org by Oct. 15. Questions will be compiled and considered on relevance and time allotted. A few questions will also be taken from the floor the night of the event.
Each candidate will have two minutes to make a brief opening statement and two minutes to make a closing statement. Response time for questions will be one and one half minutes.

The election for the Westfield Board of Education will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
