Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On Somerset, Union County Border
The fatal crash of a Somerset County motorcyclist was reported on Wednesday night in Union County.
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Wednesday night in Berkeley Heights near Watchung, said Police Chief William A. Ives.
The motorcyclist is being identified as a 55-year-old man from North Plainfield. His name is being withheld to respect the family's privacy.
At around 5:45 p.m., the accident was reported on Plainfield Avenue near Connell Corporate Park in Berkeley Heights.

A preliminary investigation found that no other vehicles, apart from the motorcycle, were involved in the crash.
The patient was taken to Overlook Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, said Ives.

Berkeley Heights Police Detectives processed the scene, as did the Union County Police Crash Team and the Union County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Unit.
