A Union County police officer was assaulted by the suspect he pulled over after he spotted an ammunition magazine on the car seat.

A Union County police officer was assaulted by the suspect he pulled over for speeding after he spotted an ammunition magazine on one of the car’s seats in Mountainside.
The suspect fled and threw the ammunition out of the window as he was pursued by police - he was later captured, but the ammunition has yet to be found, according to nj.com.
