Package Thief Arrested, Fraud Reported In Westfield: Blotter

The Westfield Police Blotter also includes two warrant arrests.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Arrests for packages and warrants were among the incidents reported in Westfield.

Westfield Police Blotter from March 3 to March 9:

On March 4 at 1:08 p.m.: A resident in the 1300 block of Boulevard reported an incident of fraud. According to the resident, she learned that someone opened a cellphone account in her name when she received a bill for $207.05. After receiving the bill, she contacted the cellular service provider and disputed the charges.

On March 5 at 9:16 p.m.: Andru Perez, 21, Union, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on East Broad Street and South Euclid Avenue with an outstanding Cranford Municipal Court warrant. Andru Perez was released on scene with a new court date.

On March 6 at 5:27 p.m.: Elias Fabianleyba, 22, Jersey City, was charged with theft of moveable property, specifically, by stealing a recently delivered package off of the porch of a residence located on the 300 block of Orenda Circle. Elias was served with a summons for a third-degree crime and ordered to appear at a later date in Union County Superior Court.

On March 6 at 8:48 pm.: Eddie Johnson Jr., 50, Plainfield, was subsequently arrested for an outstanding South Plainfield Municipal Court warrant during a motor vehicle stop in the 600 block of W. South Ave. The bail amount was $458 and he was released with a new court date.
