Police Investigate Student, Increase Patrols At High School In Union County
There will be heightened police presence at the school on Monday.

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — Police increased patrols at Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights on Monday after a student was investigated.
The Berkeley Heights Police Department reported being alerted to an issue related to Governor Livingston High School early on Monday morning.
"The police have investigated the student in question and that student is home today," said Berkeley Heights Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Melissa Varley and the police in a message to the community.

"There will be heightened police presence at Governor Livingston High School today. However, neither I nor the Police Department feel that there is a security issue," said Varley and the police.
Students from Berkeley Heights and Mountainside both attend the high school located in Berkeley Heights.
