Rahway Man Sexually Assaulted Woman Walking In Park, Prosecutors Say

According to prosecutors, a woman claimed she was inappropriately touched by the man while walking in Rahway Park.

RAHWAY, NJ — A man was charged this week after authorities said he sexually assaulted a Rahway woman while she was walking in a park.

Keon Hagans, 44, of Rahway, faces a charge of fourth-degree sexual contact in connection with the Sept. 20 assault, the Union County Police Department said in a release.

According to authorities, Union County police were called to the Squires Island section of Rahway Park on River Road to meet with a potential sexual assault victim. When officers arrived, they met with the victim, who said she was inappropriately touched by an unknown man while walking through the park, according to authorities.

Following an investigation, police arrested Hagans at his home on Oct. 4.

Hagans was taken to the Union County Jail, where he remains pending a court hearing, police said.
