Once again, the children of Redeemer School showed their compassion and awareness by walking for a good cause--collecting offerings for our annual Mission Walk to benefit the patients at Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside.
The day was a bit overcast, but the children's smiles matched the sun on the many 'I Like Redeemer!' t-shirts, as students in the early childhood and Kindergarten classes walked the neighborhood; they were happy to exercise their legs, even while remembering the boys and girls who were not so blessed.
By the end of the Mission Walk, over $600 had been collected to help out the children of CSH. Ms. Janelle LoBello, our CSH liaison, was on hand for the event, encouraging the children and walking alongside our classes. LoBello shares that the funds raised will be used to purchase a steamroller deluxe unit for the children's therapy needs.
At Redeemer, we like to remember that little kids can do BIG things!
