'This Violence Is Unacceptable,' Police Chief Says Of Another Shooting In Union County
This is the second shooting reported in the past three days in this NJ town.
LINDEN, NJ — Another shooting was reported in Linden in the past three days prompting officials to speak out.
"This violence is unacceptable, and we will use every available resource to end these shootings and restore the sense of security that our community is accustomed to," said Police Chief David Hart.
On Tuesday, June 27 at around 1:10 a.m., officers went to the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Roselle Street on reports of shots fired.

Officers found multiple shell casings at the scene, said police.
A short time later, a 25-year-old Linden man arrived at Trinitas Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound believed to be sustained during the incident, said police.

A shooting was also previously reported on Saturday, June 24 shortly before 9:30 p.m. Linden police went to the 800 block of Cleveland Avenue for reports of shots fired, police said.
