As a real estate agent in Union County, I feel that part of my job is to make sure that people know why this is such a fantastic place to live. From the new people in town to the long-time locals, sometimes we all need to be reminded of the fun things to do around here. Summer has arrived and this is a great time of year to get out, explore the area, and have some fun. So without further ado, here is a list of 10 suggestions for fun things to do this summer in Union County:
#1 Fill your Summer Nights with Sweet Sounds: One week it might be a rock band, the next it’s classical. Union County’s Summer Arts weekly series of free outdoor concerts takes you around the world of music. It runs from July through August at Echo Lake Park in Mountainside and Oak Ridge Park in Clark. The season wraps up in September with MusicFest at Oak Ridge Park.
#2 Grab a helmet, and hit the trails: The East Coast Greenway is a 3,000 mile bike route that passes right through Union County on it’s way from Maine to Florida. Whether you’re a serious cyclist or just heading out for a fun-filled day with the family, the Lenape Park section of the Greenway will lead you through parts of Cranford, Kenilworth, Springfield, and Union.
