This year, People Magazine honored a Union County teacher with the title of "Sexiest Teacher Alive" in their "Sexiest Men Alive" issue.

This year, People Magazine honored a Union County teacher with the title of “Sexiest Teacher Alive” in their annual “Sexiest Men Alive” issue.
Nick Ferroni, a history teacher at Union High School, uses skills from his previous profession as a soap actor to also advocate for student nutrition, LGBT inclusion in history books, and education reform in the classroom.
The 35-year-old educator has also been named one of the 25 fittest men in the world.

Although he is glad the titles give him a “slightly larger platform” to continue his advocacy work, the Rutgers graduate told The Daily Targum he would never do anything to hinder his work as an educator.
“I can’t imagine my students seeing me in underwear on a billboard and saying, ‘That’s my history teacher,’” he said.

Ferroni also made headlines in June when he decided to turn what would be just another night of chaperoning prom into a valuable life lesson about bullying and self-image for his students.
