UPDATE: Scotch Plains Father Tried To Set Home On Fire Before Murder-Suicide

The Scotch Plains father who killed his 11-year-old son before killing himself also tried to set their rented home on fire, police say.

When police arrived at the home on Saturday they discover the stove had been turned on with a pile of clothes stuffed inside - the pile trailed all the way into the bedroom where the bodies of Jens Elberling and his son were found, according to nj.com.
