Westfield Chamber is Up and Running

The Greater Westfield Area of Chamber of Commerce has power is resuming normal functions beginning today, Feb. 2

Westfield, NJ -- The Greater Westfield Area of Chamber of Commerce has power is resuming normal functions beginning today.

The Bank of America building where the GWACC offices are located lost power after the Trader Joe’s roof collapsed due to the blizzard in late January. The GWACC was able to regain power on Feb. 1.

The Chamber thanked Jim Gilda and PSE&G for restoring the power.

“Jim has been working on our power issue for two days and was instrumental in obtaining all the necessary documentation,” GWACC posted on Facebook. “PSEG placed three trucks on the project which included running power from the pole that was within a 10 foot perimeter of Trader Joe’s. Even though they were cautioned against it, they did so at their own risk.”

The GWACC is located at 173 Elm Street, third floor in Westfield.
