Westfield Council To See Parks Presentation, Vote On Land Sale
At the Westfield council meeting Tuesday, architects will present the parks plan and the council will vote on selling Virginia Street land.

WESTFIELD, NJ — At Westfield's Town Council meeting on Tuesday night, architects from Brandstetter Carroll Inc. will present the town's wide-ranging Parks And Recreation Master Plan, in line with the passage in December of the town's overall master plan. The council is set to vote on a resolution to refer the plan to the Planning Board. The 521-page plan, dated January 2020, can be found here.
Also at the meeting, friends and family of late teen Terry DiFalco will present a proposal for a memorial garden and "lil' library" in her honor. The amenities would be added to Sycamore Park when it gets its planned renovations. Terry was a freshman at Westfield High School when she was struck and killed by a state trooper's car in 2017, while participating in a drama program event.
The council will also vote on several matters of interest at the meeting.
