Westfield Driver Ignores Stop Sign Before Rollover Crash: Police
The crash caused Springfield Avenue to remain closed for about an hour on Thursday night.
WESTFIELD, NJ — A Westfield driver, who ignored a stop sign, was issued a summons in connection with a rollover crash on Thursday.
On May 2 at 6:30 p.m., the crash with two vehicles was reported on Springfield Avenue at the intersection of Unami Terrace.
A vehicle turning left from Unami Terrace crashed with a vehicle traveling north on Springfield Avenue, said Westfield Police Chief Christopher Battiloro.

The vehicle traveling north on Springfield Avenue swerved to attempt to avoid the collision but was hit and rolled over, said Battiloro.
There were no critical injuries to any persons involved.

The driver of the vehicle turning from Unami Terrace, a Westfield resident, was issued a summons for disregard of a stop sign.
The roadway remained closed in both directions until 7:30 p.m.
