Deer Trapped Upside Down Between 2 Fences Rescued By Westfield Firefighters

Oh deer! Westfield Firefighters had an eventful morning on Thursday.

WESTFIELD, NJ — A deer trapped upside down between two fences was rescued on Thursday morning by Westfield firefighters.

On Nov. 30, the Westfield Fire Department was called to the 700 block of Lawrence Avenue for a deer stuck between two fences.

Firefighters from Ladder 1 found a deer, upside-down and stuck between a metal and a wooden fence, according to Town of Westfield, NJ Fire Department.

Firefighters carefully extricated the deer without injury to the deer or firefighters.

Once freed, the deer quickly ran back into the woods.
