Out of 337 high schools, Westfield came in at #8 in New Jersey Monthly's September issue featuring The Top High Schools.

WESTFIELD, NJ —Westfield High School is ranked #8 in New Jersey Monthly’s September issue featuring The Top High Schools.

In explaining its new methodology, the magazine “is placing emphasis on student results.”

NJ Monthly publishes the Top 100 High Schools chart every two years and varies the criteria for placement.

According to the publication this year, “Data for the New Jersey Monthly ranking of the state’s high schools was obtained from the Department of Education’s most recent New Jersey School Performance Reports (covering the 2014-2015 school year).”

A total of 337 high schools were included.

“It is satisfying to see that this year’s ranking reflects the success of student performance,” stated Dr. Margaret Dolan, Superintendent of the Westfield Public Schools. “It remains our mission to reach our students’ highest potential and to prepare them for well-balanced lives,” she added.
