Westfield Honors Football Team, Marching Band

Westfield, NJ -- The Westfield High School Marching Band and Football team were both awarded congratulatory certificates by the Westfield Board of Education at the Jan. 5 meeting.

The marching band captured the US Bands A-Class National Championship on Nov. 8, earning awards for Best Music and Best Overall Effect at the competition.

The undefeated football team won the North 2, Group 5 State Championship on Dec. 3, marking the first State championship since 1977.

“It was a pleasure to acknowledge the students, directors and coaches who represented our school district and our town so incredibly well this school year,” said Margaret Dolan, Westfield Superintendent of Schools.
