Patrons Online and Mobile Access to Free Movies, Music, eBooks and More

(April 19, 2016) The Westfield Memorial announced that as of May 2, patrons will have online and mobile access to thousands of movies, television shows, music albums, eBooks, audiobooks and Comics, through a new partnership with hoopla digital (hoopladigital.com).

Westfield Memorial Library card holders can download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thousands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers – available to borrow 24/7, for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets and computers.

“We strive to be an integral resource for our community,” said Library Director Phil Israel. “This is done through strategic partnerships like our new relationship with hoopla digital, which enables our community members to instantly stream thousands of new titles to their devices. The easy-to-use interface and elimination of late fees enables us to satisfy all of our patron’s needs in a modern way.”

Founded in 1879, the Westfield Memorial Library—the community’s destination for discovery and ideas—engages minds, entertains spirits and facilitates lifelong learning for people of all ages. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Beginning May 22, the library will be closed on Sundays.
