Westfield Police Hiring New Officers

WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield Police Department is hiring.

PTC certified and non-certified applications are being accepted.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be between 21 and 35 years of age
• Must have graduated from High School and have a high school diploma or a general equivalently GED- Must possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
• Must submit to a complete background investigation
• Must submit to and successfully pass a medical and psychological examination
• Must have not been convicted of any violations of the laws of the State of New Jersey or the United States, except minor traffic offenses, nor shall have been convicted of any crime or offense involving moral turpitude

Minimum Physical Qualifications:

• Be able to complete:
• 300-meter run in 70.1 seconds or less
• 24 push-ups in 1 minute or less
• Vertical jump of 15 inches or more
• 28 sit-ups in 1 minute or less
• 1.5 mile run in 15 minutes and 55 seconds or less
