Westfield Student Musicians in Tune with the Best

WESTFIELD, NJ — Following a March 18 audition with approximately 135 students throughout New Jersey, all four auditioning Edison Intermediate School students were accepted to perform in the All State Intermediate Orchestra.

The Westfield musicians who will perform on Saturday, May 13, at 3 p.m. at Summit High School include:

• Kevin Chen, 6th Grade -Viola;
• Amy Xiao, 7th Grade -Violin;
• Kelly Eagan, 8th Grade -Bass;
• Dylan McCann, 8th Grade -Viola.

Amanda Gant, instrumental music director at Edison Intermediate School, acknowledged, “It is a great privilege to be accepted into this group and I couldn’t be prouder of these hard working, talented young musicians.”
