Westfield Students: Perfect Test Scores And A Presidential Honor
Westfield High School Principal Mary Asfendis had a lot to congratulate her students for last month.
WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield public school students have amassed some impressive honors recently.
Westfield High School junior Eric Palia found out he'd achieved a perfect score on the math portion of the December SAT. Meanwhile, junior Sean Hazard achieved top scores on the Science and STEM sections of the December ACT. Both of these standardized tests are considered for college admissions.
And the school's freshmen are already on their way to impressive honors. Recently, Westfield High School freshman Alexandra Cicala, pictured with principal Mary Asfendis, received the President’s Volunteer Service Award. The award recognizes people of all ages who have volunteered significant amounts of time to their communities.

Cicala also received the Prudential Spirit of Community Award for exemplary volunteer service.
