Residents have raised oppositions to the project, which calls for a 3,044-sq. ft. building at 800 Central Avenue

Westfield, NJ -- The Township Planning Board will meet tonight to vote on the proposed 7-Eleven convenience store slated for the corner of Central Avenue and W Grove Street.
The Westfield Planning Board meeting will be held Jan. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 425 East Broad Street.

The first public hearing on the project was held on Nov. 2 and the second on Dec. 9, both meetings drew residents who raised concerns over traffic, buffering between the property and residential homes, and also the possibility to become a teenage hangout.
No more public comments will be heard at the Jan. 6 meeting. Instead, the board will deliberate and vote on preliminary and final major site plan approval.
