Westfield Wins Second Straight Football Championship

The Blue Devils triumphed over the Panthers for the second straight year during the NJSIAA football championship.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield High School Football team are the champions, Again! This is the second consecutive year the Blue Devils overtook the Panthers.

The undefeated Westfield Blue Devils scored 13 over the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Panthers with 13 during the NJSIAA North II group V Championship final game played at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford on Saturday.

The last championship Westfield won was last year when they triumphed over Bridgewater-Raritan’s Panthers with a 10 to 7 win.

Before that Westfield hadn't won a championship since 1977 when they ousted Barringer High School in Newark.
