Police are asking for the public's help identifying a person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of an East Orange man in Camden over the weekend.
Surveillance footage shows 24-year-old James Rhodes walking with a black man wearing a red shirt and dark pants in an alleyway between North Constitution Road and North Congress Road shortly before Camden County Police discovered Rhodes's body in that area at about 9:20 p.m. Friday night.
After police discovered Rhodes, he was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:40 p.m.
The video also shows the man running in the opposite direction of the homicide scene shortly thereafter.
