A federal judge has now tossed the Justice Department's FACE Act lawsuit against several protesters, ruling the government didn't prove they blocked religious worship, though prosecutors have 30 days to try again.

School Bus Hits Police Officer, Pedestrian In West Orange (patch.com) β People in West Orange may want to know that a township police officer and a pedestrian were hospitalized after being struck by a West Orange school district bus at Main Street and Harrison Avenue. Both were taken to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, and police say the investigation continues but there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

Road Rage, Car Theft Reported In West Orange: Police (patch.com) β West Orange police recently handled two notable vehicle-related incidents: a 2023 Acura MDX stolen overnight from Forest Hill Road and later recovered in Newark, and a road-rage dispute at the Northfield Avenue Dunkin' Donuts where one driver was assaulted before the suspect fled in a white Audi sedan.

Local residents can expect more convenient, techβdriven care options as HMH grows outpatient services, modernizes hospitals statewide, and experiments with atβhome and virtual care models.
