Rho Gamma Omega Chapter Hosts Winter Essentials Drive at Elitist Coffee

The Rho Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® will host a Winter Essentials Drive on Monday, February 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Elitist Coffee, located at 154 Valley Street in South Orange.

The community-driven event invites residents to come together in support of students in need while uplifting a local Black-owned business. Attendees are encouraged to stop by, enjoy a cup of coffee, and contribute winter weather essentials to help keep students warm during the colder months.

Donations of coats, gloves, scarves, and other winter essentials will be collected and distributed directly to students at East Orange Campus High School. Every purchase made at Elitist Coffee during the event will also support the local business, reinforcing the chapter’s commitment to economic empowerment and community engagement.

The Winter Essentials Drive reflects Rho Gamma Omega’s ongoing mission to serve communities through meaningful service initiatives that combine philanthropy, partnership, and impact.
