Essex County: Penis-Injecting Woman Gets 5 Years In Jail, Possible Deportation

The East Orange woman injected a 22-year-old man's penis with silicone, authorities say. He died shortly afterwards.

A New Jersey Superior Court judge sentenced an Essex County woman to five years in state prison for killing a 22-year-old man with a fatal silicone penis injection at her home in 2011.

Kasia Rivera, 38, of East Orange, a former bartender in Irvington, was sentenced on Monday for her role in the death of East Orange resident Justin Street, who suffered a fatal embolism a day after receiving the injection.

Rivera was also charged with performing illegal silicone injections into a woman’s breasts and buttocks in a separate incident, as well as possession of a stun gun.

On Sept, 9, just as the case was getting ready to go to trial, Rivera entered a guilty plea to second-degree reckless manslaughter.

According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Rivera must serve 85 percent of her sentence before she is eligible for parole. She received credit for 228 days she has already served at the county jail.

As a result of her guilty plea, Rivera could be deported to her native Jamaica, prosecutors stated.

“This woman had no business injecting anyone with anything,’’ stated Assistant Prosecutor William Neafsey.
