Rally for Fracking Waste Ban

The random ramblings of a not-so-new resident of Westwood

Even though I am not a member of the Sierra Club, a member Westwood United Methodist Church (my congregation) forwarded the following annoumcement to me.  It is here for your information.

On Wednesday 28 November the NJ Sierra Club and other groups invite local residents from across the state to demand a ban on fracking waste.  NJSC will be rallying outside the offices of legislators who stood on the side of clean water and voted to keep toxic fracking waste out of our waterways.  Governor Chris Christie vetoed this critical bill and now the NJSC requests these legislators to continue their commitment to clean water by voting to override Governor Christie’s veto.

The bill originally passed with overwhelming bipartisan support and NJSC requests those legislators to commit to voting yes again on the fracking waste ban bill.  NJSC encourages all to call respective legislators to put our drinking water before politics and vote for the override.
