Tiger Schulmann's of Paramus located 176a Route 17 North had a bully prevention seminar on Saturday October 13th 2012. Students, friends of students, and anybody else was welcome to attend this free seminar. Bully Prevention is a major part of the program. Tiger Schulmann's has been teaching kids to be more confident, disciplined and focused for close to 30 years. Confident kids don't get bullied.
New owner and head instructor Michael Murray talks about who and why kids bully and what bullies look for. Kids learn the right things to say, and how to keep strong body language and eye contact to prevent the bullying from escalating. He continues to talk about the 3 different levels of bullying.
Mike and his manager, Brian Russo, then act out several bullying situations demonstrating how to confront a bully being too timid, too aggressive, and handling the situation just right. Some of the situations include being called names, being cut in line, and being bumped into.
