Map Of Coyote Sightings In North Jersey

Coyotes have been spotted in North Jersey residential areas several times since December. Two people and a dog were attacked during these incidents.

An ‘aggressive’ coyote was spotted near Norwood Public School and attacked tires on a resident’s car. The animal had two dens, one of which had dead pups in it, near the school.

One man was attacked at his Saddle River home while working in his yard. That same coyote, according to reports, attacked a neighbor’s dog as well. Another man was walking his dog on a wooded path in Norwood when a coyote chased him home. The man was bitten on the leg and has been receiving rabies shots since the attack.
