St. Thomas More Knights of Columbus, Westwood:

The Westwood Knights of Columbus are hosting an Friday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. The menu includes homemade sauerbraten, knockwurst and bratwurst, potato pancakes, red cabbage and sauerkraut. The dinner costs $12 per person or $30 per family, which includes parents and minor children. The cost includes dinner, dessert, soda, coffee and tea. Call Mike DeAngelo at 201-664-5396 to RSVP.

The Westwood Knights will also be hosting their at the council hall Saturday, Oct. 29 from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door and include hot and cold finger foods, open bar all night and dancing to a DJ. Prizes will be awarded for the Best Costume, Most Original Costume and Funniest Costume. Costumes are preferred, but are not required. Knights of Columbus, Mother Seton Council 5427, Washington Township:

The township's , 79 Pascack Road, Washington Township, have a Halloween Extravaganza scheduled for Friday, Oct. 28 from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the council hall. Prizes will be awarded for the best individual costume, best couple's costume and the best table or group costume.

The cost per person is $50. Tickets can be purchased at the Knights Members' Room weekdays between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit local Knights charities. For more information, call John Pimpinella at 973-670-9482 or John Brunelli at 201-248-0558.

The Washington Township Knights of Columbus has its third annual scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 30 from noon to 6 p.m. at the council's athletic complex, 79 Pascack Road, Washington Township. Participants will compete in 10 different activities 10 times. Each successful attempt will be rewarded with one point and the person with the highest score will be named "Decathlete of the Year."

The cost is $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top adult and youth finishers and the rest of the proceeds will benefit Knights charities.

The township Knights have their scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 6. The mass begins at 10:30 a.m. at and the brunch follows right after at the Knights Council.

Reservations must be made in advance, by Oct. 30. The cost is $8 per person, $3 for children under 12 (under 5 are free), and there is a cap of $20 for any immediate family group (parents and children). Proceeds from the event will benefit charities. Tickets may be purchased at the Knights Hall, Monday through Friday, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Westwood American Legion Post 206 Auxiliary:

The Westwood American Legion Post 206 Auxiliary has a planned for Thursday, Oct. 27. The bus will leave the Post parking lot, 264 Washington Ave., at 8:15 a.m. The cost is $35 per person, with $22 slot play from the casino. For more information, call Aurelia Kelly at 201-666-5449.

Contemporary Woman's Club of Washington Township:

The Contemporary Woman's Club of Washington Township has its next meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the , 350 Hudson Ave.

The group is currently made up of about 50 women, is open to all women ages 18 and older who live in the Pascack Valley area. Interested women should attend a club meeting, call the membership chair at 201-664-5443 or e-mail Womansclub@twpofwashington.us. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month from October to May.
