'Offensive,' 'Hateful' Graffiti Found At Bergen High School
The graffiti was found in a baseball dugout and in a boys' bathroom, the superintendent said.
More messages of hate were found on the campus of a Bergen County high school recently.
"Blatantly offensive and hateful" graffiti was found in a baseball dugout and a boys' bathroom at Pascack Valley High School last week, Pasack Valley Regional High School District Superintendent P. Erik Gundersen said in a letter to the community Wednesday.
Gundersen said the graffiti was removed to, "prevent exposure to these messages of intolerance."

The Hillsdale Police Department is investigating how long the graffiti was there and who is responsible for creating it.
The letter came days after Gundersen told the community of five swastikas that were found on school property in recent weeks. (See related: 5 Swastikas Found At Bergen County High School)

"We cannot let an individual, or small group of individuals, who spreads a message of hate, become a cloud casting a shadow over our wonderful community," Gundersen said in a Nov. 6 letter after the swastikas were discovered.
