Second Aggressive Coyote Tests Negative For Rabies
Animal was the second coyote to be killed since a man was attacked and bitten by one earlier this month.

An aggressive coyote that a Norwood police officer shot Thursday and was found dead Sunday has tested negative for rabies, authorities reported.
State Department of Environmental Protection spokesman Larry Hajna told NorthJersey.com that the animal has tested negative for rabies. The coyote was the second to be killed since a man was bitten by one while walking his dog April 19. That coyote, which was later found and euthanized, tested positive for rabies.
Hajna said that the DEP does not have “any reports of aggressive coyotes” and that the department would continue to respond to reports of aggressive coyotes as needed.
