Colonia Man Charged With Selling Heroin in Middletown

An Avenel man was arrested in an unrelated incident.

Woodbridge, NJ - A Colonia man was arrested earlier this moth for allegedly trying to sell heroin in Middletown Township, Middletown police said. He also allegedly had crack cocaine on him.

Marcus E. Lee, 46, of Colonia, was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, obstruction, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest, conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges were serious enough that Lee was held on a $180,000 bail with no 10% option.

In an unrelated incident, a 39-year-old Avenel man was charged with marijuana possession, also in Middletown, as released by police in the Sept. 12-Sept. 25 Middletown police blotter.
