Coronavirus In Woodbridge: 131 Cases, New Death
As of Thursday, the total coronavirus cases in Woodbridge rose to 131, with an 85-year-old local woman who died.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — As of Thursday, the total of coronavirus cases in Woodbridge Twp. rose to 131, according to Mayor John McCormac, with the most recent death being an 85-year-old woman who died of the virus.
"Following the national and state trends, Woodbridge had another bad 24 hours with 19 additional cases of coronavirus, bringing our total to 131 residents afflicted with this awful disease," said Mayor McCormac.
Woodbridge is still at two deaths so far: One of the two deaths reported earlier turned out not to be a covid-19 case. The 85-year-old woman was the second death.

The St. Joseph’s nursing home cases are no longer included with Woodbridge Township's official numbers since the patients moved to a Care One facility in Hanover.
"But I personally know of four additional former residents of St. Joseph’s who have passed in the last week and there are likely more," said McCormac. "They may have died in other towns but they each lived here for over 50 years. I don’t care what the numbers say — they are ours — they are our mothers, our fathers, our grandmothers and grandfathers."

The new cases once again are not concentrated in any one area of town and they are spread in age from 32 to 65 and evenly between males and females.
"Only one on the new list of cases is indicated as needing hospital attention, which is good news," said McCormac.
