He's Wanted in Perth Amboy Hit and Run, Police Say

PERTH AMBOY, NJ - Over the weekend, Patch reported on a hit and run in Perth Amboy and now on Wednesday, police are seeking a man who they think may have been involved.

Wanted for questioning is Edwin Viera, 53, whose last known address is 467 Penn Street in Perth Amboy. Viera drives a white 1998 two-door Honda Civic, 2 door, with NJ plates and registration D64HBA, police said.

The hit-and-run occurred at 10 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Penn and Lawrie streets. The pedestrian was crossing and was struck by a vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Perth Amboy Police Department, Detective Jessica DeJesus at 732 442-4400.
