Investors Bank Supports Spectacular Fireworks On Raritan Bay That Will Brighten Skies Over Two States

Staten Island, Perth Amboy, and South Amboy Present July 2nd Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza that Celebrates Independence Day

– The spectacular fireworks over Raritan Bay on Saturday, July 2, will be viewed and enjoyed by thousands of people on the westerly Shorelines of the Raritan in both New Jersey and New York.

The “Celebrate our Stars & Stripes” event is an incredible bi-state, tri-city, Independence Day Festival that in Staten Island is located at the Conference House Park, in South Amboy at the Raritan Bay Waterfront Park and in Perth Amboy along the entire shoreline focused on Sadowski Parkway. Each City will have food, music and festivities from 5 PM to 9 PM. The earlier festivities will be followed by the world-class fireworks extravaganza.

A huge turnout of friends and families are expected to experience the third annual fireworks show and festival that will help bring the primary sponsoring municipalities of Staten Island, Perth Amboy and South Amboy in New York and New Jersey closer together to coordinate other events that may be common to each other.

Investors Bank is joining with the cities, their residents and businesses to celebrate America’s 239th birthday. Fireworks symbolize the nation’s fight for freedom. Investors Bank CEO Kevin Cummings said, “Each Independence Day, we have an opportunity to honor those courageous men and women who founded our country, and recognize the contributions of all those people who have kept this nation a beacon of freedom, justice and liberty.”

In addition, the Independence Day event honors the spirit, strength and dedication of three municipalities that organized the celebration. The daytime festivities will conclude with a dynamic fireworks display provided by renowned Garden State Fireworks Company.

In discussing “Celebrate our Star & Stripes,” the Event Chairman Barry Rosengarten said, “We want to thank Investors Bank and other sponsors for their generous and patriotic donations that will help us commemorate Independence Day. Our fireworks are much more than dazzling light and big sounds; the display is a symbol of America’s continuing fight to protect our freedom, the resilience of the human spirit, and a reminder of how the very course of history can be changed when people unite for a common cause.”

Mr. Rosengarten added that elected officials from each municipality met at Staten Island’s historic Conference House earlier this year to start planning the Independence Day event. Initial talks included Perth Amboy Mayor Wilda Diaz, South Amboy Mayor Fred Henry and Staten Island Borough President James S. Oddo together with New York City Council Minority Leader Vincent Ignizio who represents S.I., which resulted in an agreement to create a two-state July 4th celebration.
