Murphy, the front runner in the governor's race, made millions working for Goldman Sachs and was a major donor to President Barack Obama. He was appointed by Obama as the Ambassador to Germany. In February, he got some heat from Republicans, including Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, for remarks he made comparing President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.

Biden is supporting the Line B Democratic team in Middlesex County on Nov. 7: Phil Murphy and Sheila Oliver for lieutenant governor, Kevin Hoagland for Middlesex County Surrogate, Charles Tomaro for County Freeholder, Leslie Koppel for County Freeholder and Shanti Narra for County Freeholder. The rally will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan Center (doors are at 11:00 a.m.).
