Mary Marion Is Woodbridge St. Patrick's Day Parade 2026 Irish Woman Of The Year
Marion has been a member of the Woodbridge American-Irish Association for 40 years and is proud to follow in her parents' footsteps.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Mary Marion is the 2026 Irish woman of the Year for this year's Woodbridge St. Patrick's Day parade.
This year’s Woodbridge St. Patrick's parade is March 8, stepping off at 1:30 p.m. It starts at Woodbridge High School.Marches down Freeman St, to Linden Ave, to Green St, to Amboy Ave, to Main Street and ends at Town Hall.
Marion has been a member of the Woodbridge American-Irish Association for 40 years and is proud to follow in her parents' footsteps as a parade honoree. Her father George was Irish person of the year in 1991, and her mother Harriet was Irish person of the year in 2001. Mary has been helping with the coin collection for the past two years and 50/50 raffle for the past three years. She has also helped at various club functions over the years.

Marion was born in New Brunswick and is a lifelong resident of Edison. She is a member of St. Matthew Catholic church in Edison where she previously taught religious education for 14 years.
At St. Matthews, Marion is a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Liturgy committee. She also volunteers at the parish carnival every year.

Marion can trace her Irish ancestry to Donegal on her mother’s side and to Tipperary and Limerick on her father’s side.
