Meet Woodbridge's Irish Lady Of The Year Karen McCrory
Karen has worked on the Shaughnessy Park clean-up, Veteran's Picnic & Parade and the St. James Street Fair.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Meet Woodbridge's 2024 Irish Lady of the Year Karen McCrory.
Karen was born in Rahway Hospital in 1958. She lived in Iselin until 1962 when she moved to Edison.
Karen went to J.P. Stevens High School, Class of ’76. When she was in high school, she worked on school plays and volunteered at JFK Hospital.

Karen won a scholarship to Upsala College in East Orange and majored in theatre arts. She worked at the Whole Theater Co. in Montclair, with Olympia Dukakis, in the costume department.
After college, Karen worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Metuchen and U.P.S for 34 years.

Karen enjoys history and visiting historic places. She and her husband, John Marsicano (also a member of the Woodbridge American Irish Association), enjoy Civil War re-enactment with the 69th Pennsylvania Regiment U.S. Volunteers.
Since joining the American Irish Assoc., Karen has worked on many projects. They include the Coin Collection, Parade Committee, Shaughnessy Park Cleanup, Veteran’s Picnic & Parade and the St. James Street Fair. Karen currently Chairs the Hospitality Committee bringing fun themes, refreshments and enjoyment to members of the Woodbridge American Irish Association.
She would like to thank the Parade Committee and all the members of the Woodbridge American Irish Association for this great & humbling honor!
Woodbridge's St. Patrick's Day parade will be this Sunday, March 10.
The parade steps off at 1:30 p.m. sharp from Woodbridge High School, marches down Amboy Avenue and ends in front of Woodbridge Brewing Company on Main Street. This is the 50th year of the parade, so expect it to be one of their biggest and best yet.
(Exact parade route: Before the parade hits Amboy Ave. it goes down Freeman Street to Linden Avenue, to Green Street, then Amboy Avenue to Main Street.)
