The free Parker Press concert begins at 7:30 pm.
is going to groove tonight. , certainly one of the most diverse groups to play in Woodbridge's various series of free concerts, does a reggae beat that is solely their own.
Meta, the lead singer, hails from Senegal in West Africa, and sings to musicians who come from spots as widespread as Lebanon, Israel, and, of all places, Texas! They fuse their own brand of rock, soul, hip-hop, and reggae riffs into a unique sound and with lyrics in a UN-style range of languages, it will definitely be a sound unlike anything most music enthusiasts routinely come across.
Their concert, part of the Woodbridge Wednesday series, starts tonight at the James Parker Press Park on Rahway Ave. at 7:30 pm. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, and a non-perishable food item to donate to the town's food banks.
