Police have released the name of the 75-year-old pedestrian who died after he was hit by a car on Route 27 in Woodbridge earlier this week.

Police have released the name of the 75-year-old pedestrian who died after he was hit by a car on Route 27 in Woodbridge early Wednesday morning.

Geza Kish died from his injuries Wednesday morning, according to NJ.com.

Police say he was wearing dark clothing and using a walker as he tried to cross Route 27 in a dimly lit area near Wood Avenue around 4:30 a.m.

The man, whose last known address was in Elizabeth, was hit by a 1995 Ford Escort, whose driver, a 70-year-old man, had the green light, police said.

No summonses were issued.
