Every month, the Newark Museum offers a different Drop-In Art & Science activity for kids. This month, it’s Hocus Pocus and Paleo-Possibilities. Hocus Pocus offers kids the chance to view tiny talismans from ancient Egypt, and make their own lucky charm, while Paleo-Possibilities allow kids the chance to explore fossils from the museum’s Teaching Collection and learn about dino footprints.

Woodbridge Center kicks off spring with its Spring Kids Fest this Saturday. Kids ages 2-12 are invited to this afternoon full of face-painting, games, crafts, music, and all around fun to celebrate the new season. The Easter Bunny will even be making an appearance between 11 and noon, so don’t forget to bring your camera!

As part of their For Arts Sake weekend, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey is hosting an open house on Sunday – kids can become an artist for a day through hands-on demonstrations and activities, including graffiti art, sneaker design, jewelry making, comic book drawing, and more! There will be food, music, and games for the whole family.

The popular children’s book about bovines with secretarial skills comes to the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn Saturday morning. Farmer Brown and lovable bunch of animals make the move from the page to the stage in a play that’s sure to delight both kids and parents.

A two-for-one entry into the Kids Planner from the Morris Museum. You’ve got your pick of classic cartoons for that the whole family will enjoy on one hand, or the natural wonder of Planet Earth’s “Ice Worlds” on the other. Both start at 12:30 pm, with the cartoons lasting a half hour and Ice Worlds lasting 50 minutes. Stick around and check out the museum’s exhibits for an enlightening afternoon for the whole family.
