Tickets Are Still Available for Peter of "Peter, Paul, and Mary" Concert

There's scarcely a child who makes it to the age of 10 without knowing all the lyrics to "Puff the Magic Dragon." The folk singer whose lilting voice made that song a staple for untold childhoods is going to be performing in Woodbridge tonight.

Peter Yarrow of the famous 60s folk trio, "Peter, Paul, and Mary" will be singing his gentle, melodic classics with a few newer tunes tonight at the on Main St.

The folk music trio was responsible for such cultural music standards as "Lemon Tree" and "If I Had a Hammer", and Number 1 hits as "Blowin' in the Wind," "Leaving on a Jet Plane," and the long-lived "Puff the Magic Dragon." 

After a breakup in 1970, the three folk artists reunited eight years later, and since 1978, they've been performing for live audiences. The only thing that caused a pause in their half-century of music was the illness of Mary Travers from leukemia, a disease which caused her death in 2009.
